Zach and Loretta: Portraits, Vasquez Rocks

Sometimes when you need a little inspiration, it’s a good idea to take some friends out to the desert and see what happens. That’s just what we did…and here is what happened. Zach and Loretta are great people and we’re lucky to call them friends. Here are few portraits of their faces/bodies.

Andrew and Jenn: Smog Shoppe Wedding Photographer, Los Angeles, CA

Andrew and Jenn’s wedding was truly inspiring. Everyone withstood the triple digit temperatures with a smile on their face. These two have been together a looong time and everyone was so very excited to see them finally tie the knot. They had their reception at the Smog Shoppe in Culver City which has more style and elegance than you could ever ask for. Not to mention they added their own fabulous touches to the event. Jenn had two fabulous wedding gowns, the second being a surprise for her groom. We had such a great time photographing these two and their whole beautiful bridal party who were such good sports. We are so happy Andrew and Jenn found us and trusted up to capture this beautiful memory for them.

Andrew and Jenn: Engagement Photos, Griffith Park, Abandoned LA Zoo

We are so excited to photograph Jenn and Andrew’s wedding in a couple weeks at the Smog Shoppe in LA. Especially after we got to see how awesome they are in front of the camera during their engagement shoot. We spent the evening exploring an abandoned zoo. Who knew that old animal cages would have such killer light? It was a serious playground for us. Their may have been a few animal ghost encounters but we all came out unharmed. These two have a super dynamic look and we knew we’d come out with some killer shots. They didn’t disappoint. The best moments were when they got slightly embarassed with a camera so close to their face and then starting cracking up. Their wedding can’t come soon enough…and I’m sure they feel the same way.

Steph and Ted: Wedding Video, The Elysian, Los Angeles

We had the honor to film Steph and Ted’s amazing wedding at the ever-so-stylish Elysian. The day was basically perfect and their wedding was stunningly beautiful. Seeing as though we made a film, it’s probably better you just check it out and see for yourself. Thanks Steph and Ted for letting us be a part of your wonderful wedding!

Six UCLA Grads-to-be – Senior Portraits, Los Angeles, CA

When six awesome roommates asked us to do their senior portraits…we said yes. Cool story huh? All of these girls are super rad and have been close friends all through their college experience. Having both graduated from UCLA, it was a blast for Emily and I to be back on campus without the stress of finals and finishing the daily sudoku. Here are a few of our favorite images from the day. Congratulations ladies!

David and Alaina: Engagement Photos, Portraits, Arts District, LA, CA

David and Alaina. Peanut butter and jelly. Pizza and beer. All perfect pairs. Great times are inevitably had when there’s a rad couple and some deserted city streets. This engagement session was no exception. The afternoon we spent in Los Angeles couldn’t have been better. Let’s just say it all started off on the right note when we met up at the Pie Hole – the one stop shop for all your pie needs. We’re so excited to have made some new friends in David and Alaina and can’t wait for their wedding later this year.

2013 Favorites – a collection of wedding, travel, maternity, engagement photography

Well, that was a good year – it’s crazy that 2013 is over already. It’s really hard for us to look at our work objectively and so it’s hard to pick our “best” work from our many thousands of photos. These images don’t really represent the scope of our work and aren’t necessarily our “best” but they are certainly some of our favorites from this last year. We are so thankful for all of the awesome people who have trusted us to photograph them on some of the most important days of their lives. We’ve made some great friendships and seen some cool places. It’s been an amazing journey and it’s so fun to look back on this year and see the ways we’ve grown. We can’t wait for what 2014 will bring!

Malcolm and Victoria: Engagement Photos, Venice Beach and canals

Alright. Check it out. Malcolm and Victoria are getting married. This is huge news. We’re so happy for them and couldn’t be more excited to photograph their wedding. Last week we met them in Venice to celebrate their engagement. Neither of them had ever been to the Venice canals so we figured it would be a fun spot to hangout and make some epic images. Malcolm and Victoria’s genuine love and commitment to each other is so awesome to see. We totally hit it off with them and had an amazing time showing them around Venice. When the sun was about to set, we quickly hurried down to Venice Beach to enjoy the last bits of sunshine. Magic, ladies and gentlemen: Magic is the best way to describe this evening.

Dylan and Sara: Los Angeles Adventure, Downtown, Griffith Park

Last week we had the awesome opportunity to spend some time showing Dylan and Sara around LA. They’re amazing photographers and all around great people. We started out at Umami Burger in Santa Monica then took them to the Art District and had some Handsome Coffee and pie. We finished up the day with a sunset sesh at Griffith Park. All in all it was a killer day. Anyway, there’s really no way to get photographers together without a lot of picture taking. So here you have it: some pictures.

Danny and Christine – Engagement photos – Arts District, Los Angeles

We met Danny and Christine for an afternoon in the Arts District – one of our favorite spots in LA. There’s a ton of awesome public art and a bunch of cool places to explore. Danny and Christine are super laid back and a ton of fun to hangout with. These rad humans were down for anything the streets had to offer – which in our case were some gnarly image opportunities. Can’t wait for their wedding!
