Jamie and Case: Ventura Wedding Photographer, Private Estate

One of our all-time favorite types of weddings is the “backyard wedding.” This particular wedding happened in the front yard but it still counts. Jamie and Case said their vows surrounded by only their family and closest friends overlooking the coastal town of Ventura. There was a ton of amazing food, happy tears shed, and general merriment. It was so beautiful to see how both of the families came together to support the new couple. It was obvious hanging out with Jamie and Case that they have a lot of fun together and love each other deeply. It was truly an honor to be there to witness this joyful union.

Brian and Amanda: Oxnard Wedding Photographer, Barn, Private Estate

Brian and Amanda were meant for each other. That much is clear. Another thing that’s clear is that they know how to throw a good party. I don’t think we’ve ever been on a crazier dance floor. Their wedding was picture perfect, down to the very last detail. There were lots of tears, lots of laughter, and a whole lotta people gettin’ down. Also, as if they don’t already have the blessing of many, they got a few rain drops on their wedding day giving them all the luck that could be mustered. Enjoy the photos!

Matt and Leah’s Awesome Orchard Wedding – Private estate, Carpinteria, CA

This wedding was simply amazing. Matt and Leah inherited an avocado ranch that had been in Matt’s family since the 1890s. The ranch and the house are still mostly original and provided a beautiful and inspiring backdrop for the day. Matt and Leah are super laid back and genuine people – we had a really great time getting to know them. Their wedding was held on a sunny springtime day outside the beautiful town of Carpinteria, CA. The drive up to their house is covered in a canopy of old trees and looks like something out of a fairy tale. The ceremony and reception took place on the lawn overshadowed by an ancient redwood. All in all, it was a beautiful occasion and we felt so privileged to be asked to photograph such a special event. We had an awesome time hanging out with Matt and Leah and enjoyed taking photos and exploring their land. We are so excited to share these photos with you!

Brian and Tricia’s wedding – Private Estate, Santa Ynez, CA

Brian and Tricia are great people. We only found out we were photographing their wedding 2 days before it happened….we like to live on the edge. Brian’s a musician/composer and Tricia is a gnarly mixologist. Instead of some cliché unity sand or some candles, Brian, Tricia, and their close friends and family poured alcohol into a barrel to age and eventually become one tasty drink. Pretty rad if you ask me. Their wedding took place at a private estate overlooking Santa Ynez.

Zach and Loretta: Private Estate Wedding, Simi Valley

Zach and Loretta are great people.  Emily and I have been friends with them for a couple years and it was such an honor to photograph their wedding. It was a truly beautiful occasion that all took place in Loretta’s backyard in Simi Valley. Oh and it was also a party…a nuts party. I hope you guys like long posts because we’re trying one out tonight.

Chris and Amanda: Private Estate wedding, Pacific Palisades, CA

Where do we start with this one? There’s way too much to write. Let it suffice to say, we really loved Chris and Amanda’s wedding. It was beautiful, unique, and tons of fun. The Pacific Palisades were totally showing off and provided the best backdrop imaginable for this party of a wedding. We had a lot of photos we liked from this wedding so we decided to post a few more than usual. We were so honored to photograph this day!
